HOME RUN HITTING CONTEST

2025 PINTO WORLD SERIES “HOME RUN HITTING” CONTEST

WHO: One player from each of the 2025 Pinto World Series Teams.

WHEN: Thursday, July 10, 2024, at 6:05 PM.

WHERE: Mtn. Dew Park, 1000 Miners Drive, Marion, IL  62959.

AWARDS: Individual Award for 1st,  2nd,  3rd,  and 4th place.

FORMAT FOR FIRST ROUND

• Each participating World Series Team will select One (1) player to compete.

• Players must participate in their full team baseball uniform and batting helmet.

• Each player will provide their own pitcher who is not required to be in full uniform.

• Each player will receive three (3) warm-up pitches.

• After the warm-up pitches, each player gets SIX (6) outs.

• The hitter may take three (3) pitches during his SIX (6) outs, additional takes are outs.

• All pitches swung at and not hit over the fence, in fair territory, will constitute an out.

• The top Six (6) home run hitters will advance to the second round.

In the case of a tie in the first round, we will advance all players tied for SIXTH (6) place after round 1.

For Example:

Player 1 Hit 7 Home Runs
Player 2 Hit 7 Home Runs
Player 3 Hit 3 Home Runs
Player 4 Hit 6 Home Runs
Player 5 Hit 4 Home Runs
Player 6 Hit 4 Home Runs
Player 7 Hit 3 Home Runs
Player 8 Hit 1 Home Runs
Player 9 Hit 0 Home Runs
Player 10 Hit 2 Home Runs

We will advance Players 1,2,3,4,5,6, and 7 to the second round because of the tie for SIXTH (6) place.

FORMAT FOR THE SECOND ROUND

• Each player will receive three (3) warm-up pitches for the second round.

• After the warm-up pitches, each player gets SIX (6) outs.

• All pitches swung at and not hit over the fence, in fair territory, will constitute an out.

• The hitter may take three (3) pitches during his SIX (6) outs, additional takes are outs.

• Only home runs hit in the second round will count to determine the individual winner.

• The player with the most home runs in the second round is the Home Run Champion.

If two or more players are tied after the second round, there will be no warm-up pitches and each player will receive FIVE (5) more swings to determine the winner. (Swings not pitches) Home Runs must be hit in fair territory.

If players are still tied another round will be done until a winner can be determined. (Five (5) Swings)
